I found this penny (1976) with a box nest to Lincoln with a "CO" stamped in the middle of the box. What is this?

This is the same type of coin as described above. It is just a novelty coin and what you are describing was added post mint.

I have a 1976 Penny with TX inside Texas State Symbol on upper right side of penny in my piggy bank. It appears to be a rare coin since I cannot find anything on this subject. Is this penny worth anything or is it an altered penny? Any answer would be greatly appreciated.

I am from Wyoming and noticed today I have a 1976 penny with WY stamp on it. This has been circulated for 40 years and came to me in NY and somehow I looked at it rather than pass it on. I think this is cool even if the coin is worthless.

I also have a £.76 with the Texas stamp apparently apparently it’s just been altered because nobody seems to say they’re worth of them
