by Nick
Question: I would like to know how many 1982 d small date us cents were minted. My Answer: Nick, as far as I know, the Mint has never released the mintage breakdown for the 1982 types of cents, other than reporting the total number of one cent coins minted at each mint. Philadelphia (no mint mark) - 10,712,525,000 Denver (D) - 6,012,979,368 There are seven types of 1982 cents. Three types are made of 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc and include the small date and large date coins made in Philadelphia (no mint mark) and the cents made in Denver (D). The other four types were made of 99.2% zinc and .8% copper and include the large and small date cents minted in Philadelphia (no mint mark) and the large and small date cents minted in Denver (D).
